The product has a thermal safety contact inside the motor. When the knife is blocked or the pump keeps running it will switch off due to heat build up inside the motor (when it cools down it will start and work again).

Sometimes, the Macerator shuts down by accident, please check for any foreign objects

inside the pump by taking the service lid off or feel through the large toilet inlet (disconnect power first!). If no object is found, then please contact the plumber for inspection.

If the motor is not working due to overheating and burned smell came out, please contact the plumber or vendor.
