Advice

Bends pipework
Bends used in installation reduce the flow and should be used as less as possible. Do not use short 90° elbows . If not available use two 45° elbows to make a 90° bend.

Discharge
Never discharge directly into an open drain, fixture, manhole or rainwater drainpipe. Connect to the sanitary waste system directly.

Electricity
The unit must be always disconnected from the power supply before any maintenance or servicing. The macerating system must be connected to a Ground fault circuit interrupter

Gravity Fall
Gray water must flow by gravity fall to the inlet; All inlet pipe work must have a positive gravity fall (1/4” per foot). All horizontal discharge piping must also have a positive gravity fall.

No Diagonal “UPHILL” Pipe Runs
All discharge pipe should run either directly vertical upwards from it or in a horizontal plane to the point of discharge. Pipe work should not be installed with diagonal upward slope from the unit to the point of discharge

Pipe Material
All pipework should be made by PVC or copper, do not use flexible pipes. Hangers should not be less than 90cm apart

Vertical Lift
All vertical pipework should be installed and rise directly from the discharge elbow connected to the outlet of the unit.

Maintenance Access
To facilitate maintenance the unit should be easily accessible and removable. It is recommended a ball valve is installed at the vertical discharge pipe work close to the unit

Insulation pipework
Pipe work susceptible to freezing conditions should be insulated. The toilet, piping and macerating unit must be properly winterized with “RV or plumbers“ anti-freeze or drained in unheated building.

Low discharge point
If the point of discharge is significantly lower than the base of the unit an anti-siphon valve is recommended to allow air enter the loop. Install the valve at the highest point in the pipe run to break any siphoning effect.

Pipeline Supports
Recommended by manufacturer, dipping or trapping should be avoided, which may cause the build up of residual and subsequent blockage.

Soil Stack Connection
All discharge pipe must be connected by using appropriate and approved connector to the soil stack.

Vertical Installation First
A vertical run must always precede horizontal run if a vertical lift is required
